Wadsworth girls golf takes on new season

Wadsworth girls golf takes on new season

BY KATIE GRIFFIN

Varsity golf player, Arianna Kaser, feels confident in her teams’ success this year.

“We’ve done pretty good,” said Kaser. “We’ve stayed above a point 500.”

The varsity team has four wins and seven losses. JV has seven wins and seven losses.

This season has not had the same successful turnout as last year.

“Last year we didn’t lose a single match, I believe,” said Kaser.

Kaser believes the different makeup of the team this year is a reason for their placement.

“We have a younger team,” said Kaser. “I would just say [they should work on] repetition.”

The varsity team has not faced many struggles with quarantine. The JV team however, has had a few quarantines.

“It’s not huge,” said Kaser. “But it’s also not great for JV.”

The team’s next match will be at the Division I sectional tournament on October 6, 2021.
