Wadsworth High School celebrated its 2026 Promenade and Prom on the evening of Saturday, May 9.
Promenade took place from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center at Wadsworth High School. Participants arrived at 5:30 p.m., and gathered in the band room near the stage entrance. Each couple was announced by Mark Schoonover, and presented to the crowd. There were 63 couples announced at Promenade this year.
Starting at 7:00 p.m., students were allowed to enter Prom in the banquet hall at the Galaxy restaurant. Students were served with a buffet-style dinner provided by the restaurant. Round tables were set for the students that signed up for a seat. After the dinner portion of the evening, the lights were dimmed and the dance floor was open for use. A DJ was set up at the far-end of the banquet hall with strobe lights, lasers and a disc ball. At 9:30 p.m., Prom participants were permitted to leave without parental consent. Many of them headed out to the After Prom event hosted at Scene 75.
