Sports Update: Mar. 29

Baseball
The varsity baseball team opened their season (4-0). They defeated Copley 11-1, Hoban 5-2, and Highland 2-1, and Barberton 19-9.
Softball
The softball team opened the season with a doubleheader against Saint Vincent-Saint Mary and split it, 6-2 and 5-7. In their first Suburban League game, they won 20-10 over Brecksville. They are (2-1) overall and (1-0) in the league.
Tennis
The tennis team finished 2nd at the Highland Tournament to begin their season. They then split a pair of matches, losing 4-1 at Copley and defeating Brecksville 5-0. Then they won a close one over Highland 3-2 and fell 4-1 at Louisville. They are (2-2) overall and (1-0) in the league.
Boys Track & Field
The boys track team has their first invitational this Saturday, March 30th, at Avon Lake and then a open up league play at home against Hudson next Wednesday, April 3rd.
Girls Track & Field
The girls track team has their first invitational this Saturday, March 30th, at Avon Lake and then a open up league play at home against Hudson next Wednesday, April 3rd.
Boys Lacrosse
The boys lacrosse team dropped their first two games, 16-10 to Green and 17-4 to Toledo St John’s, but then defeated St Vincent-St Mary 15-7 and Brunswick 8-6 to reach .500 at (2-2) overall.
Girls Lacrosse
The girls lacrosse team beat Ottawa Hills 12-3 in their season opener but then lost 17-4 to Jackson. They beat Avon Lake 14-1 and lost a close one 16-15 to Magnificat. They beat Louisville 15-2 and now have a record of (3-2).
