Sports Update: Feb. 8




The wrestling team finished second as a team at the Grizzly Invitational Tournament. Luke Baughman,12, (138 pounds), Michael North, 12, (145 pounds), and Dom Loparo, 11, (170 pounds) finished first in their weight classes.

Girls Basketball

The girls basketball team won three more Suburban League games, 50-11 over North Royalton, 59-26 over Twinsburg, and 50-10 over Brecksville to go to (16-3) overall and (12-0) in the league.

Boys Basketball

The boys basketball team dropped a pair of games to Ellet, 67-50, and Green, 64-31. Then they bounced back to knock off Cuyahoga Falls 65-53 and North Royalton 54-38 and they are now (7-8) overall and (5-4) in the Suburban League.


The gymnastics teams placed 4th in the National Division at the Suburban League Championships behind Brecksville, North Royalton, and Hudson.

Boys Bowling

The boys bowling team placed 8th out of 24 teams at the Hilliard Bradley Baker Tournament. They then split a pair of league games, beating Brecksville 2417-2026 and falling 2640-2509 to Stow to go to (11-3) overall and (9-2) in the Suburban League.

Girls Bowling

The girls bowling team placed 14th out of 24 teams at Hilliard Bradley Baker Tournament before falling to a pair of Suburban League foes: Brecksville 1954-1832 and Stow 2751-1985. They are now (7-6) overall and (7-3) in the league.

Boys Swim

The boys swim team dropped a couple of league games to Hudson, 128-58, and Brecksville 133-53 and are now (5-3-1) overall and (3-3-1) in the Suburban League. Gabe Currens, 12, placed 1st at the Sectional diving meet.

Girls Swim

The girls swim team lost to Hudson 130-56 and to Brecksville 113-73 and are now (5-4) overall and (4-3) in the Suburban League.
