The Grizzlies football team won their first round playoff game over Wooster 42-38. With less than remaining, the Generals had first and goal from the 6-yard line. The Grizzlies got four straight stops, with a sack from Noah Alic, 12, on fourth down sealing the game with 30 seconds remaining. Wadsworth fell down 24-7 with under five minutes to go in the first half, but came storming back to take the lead early in the third. The teams traded second half scores before Wadsworth came out victorious over Wooster for the second time this season. Dredsen Tri-Valley, who took down previously undefeated Barberton, 10-0, will be the Grizzlies next opponent. The two teams will face off in the district semi-final match on Friday, November 9, at 7 p.m. at Crater stadium in Dover.

Girls Cross Country

The girls cross country team finished 2nd overall at the district meet at Medina, qualifying for regionals. Clare Nicholas, 9, finished 5th overall with a 19:07 and Laney Corell, 10, got 7th with a 19:42.
