The deadline to register in order to vote in the Primary Election on May 3, 2022, is April 4, 2022. This year’s primary vote will focus on candidates for the United States Senate and for Governor of Ohio. If you wish to vote in the General Election on November 8, 2022, you must register by October 11, 2022. Below are the directions on how to register to vote.
The things that you will need
- Ohio driver’s license or Ohio identification card number
- Name
- Date of Birth
- Address
- Last four digits of your social security number
Check your eligibility
- Are you a citizen of the United States?
- Will you be at least 18 years of age on or before the day of the election?
- Will you be a resident of Ohio for at least 30 days immediately before the election in which you wish to vote?
- You are not incarcerated for a felony conviction
- You have not been declared incompetent for voting purposes by a probate court
- You have not been permanently disenfranchised for violations of election laws
