I am Aaliyah Davis; I write and edit the feature portion for the WHS Bruin. I enjoy writing stories that are more difficult to cover. Writing these stories allows me to have open discussions and learn about a topic I’m not well-informed on, preparing me for my future. I love to cook and go on adventures exploring parks and nature. I enjoy working on art pieces in and outside of school and playing tennis with friends. In school, primarily, I excel in math and social science-related classes. After college, I plan on majoring in psychology and getting a Ph.D. to become an attending psychiatrist, dedicating my life to helping those facing mental health struggles. My favorite place to go to is New York City; I love to absorb and witness all the different cultures, styles, and food.

Wadsworth High Assistant Principal, Rich Berlin, captured these photos in Banner Elk, NC on his way back from his house on the mountain, attempting to beat the viscous storm approaching North Carolina from Florida.
