Marvel Studios “Thunderbolts*” premiered in theaters on May 2, 2025. The film brings together characters from Marvel films and shows of the last five years, and puts the new group through a dangerous mission that confronts all of their pasts simultaneously. Characters such as Yelena Belova, U.S. Agent, and Bucky Barnes are included in the film.
“The movie had a creative concept of a villain, but at the same time, the resolution of that villain was super lame,” said Garrett Preusser, Wadsworth High School senior and Marvel film fan.
The goal of the villain in the film, The Void, is to cause massive destruction across the globe.
The best part in the film was the humor from all of the characters. Each character had exceptional humor, and everyone was able to blend into each other’s jokes very well.
Each actor had exceptional acting, with each role conforming perfectly to the personalities of the other actors. Everyone fit their role so well, and it elevated the film to an even better level.
“I thought the action and pace were well done,” said Tina Allen Kolessar, Marvel film fan. “[There was] never a boring moment.”
Opening the film with Florence Pugh’s character, Yelena Belova, jumping off the second tallest building in the world was an excellent way to begin the film, and truly shows Pugh’s immense abilities as an actress.
“[The stunt was] just such an insane opportunity,” Pugh said in an interview with Seth Meyers. “Never again in my life will I ever be close to experiencing that, and Marvel hopefully are going to have me back doing that.”
“Thunderbolts*” is currently in theaters globally.
