Local country music artist performing at Country Fest 2019

Country music artist Mark Leach is set to perform at Country Fest this summer. Country Fest is a three-day-long country music concert composed of a variety of artists. Each day, there is a different headliner; Friday is Brantley Gilbert, Saturday is Brad Paisley, and Sunday is Jason Aldean. Mark Leach will perform on Saturday, June 22, at 3:00 p.m.

Mark Leach, born and raised in Barberton, Ohio, began writing country music at only fifteen. In college, Mark was the face of his own band and played in clubs and festivals all around Ohio.

He released his first EP, “Let’s Get Lost”, in 2014. Then in 2016, Mark released the EP “Homemade”, which hit #11 on for Country music on iTunes.

“I’ve been friends with Aaron (He is one of the founders of Country Fest) for a few years, and he and I have talked about me coming back to play since I first did back in 2015,” said Mark Leach. “Since this year is the 10th anniversary, it seemed to make sense! I got a text from him about a month ago while I was at breakfast down here in Nashville.”

Mark Leach is not new to big shows. He opened for Kip Moore, Eric Church, and has gone on tour with Granger Smith.

Since Leach now lives in Nashville, the biggest country music city, he is constantly making new music and projects.

“I’m always writing songs,” said Leach. “You kind of have to if you want to be successful in this town. Nashville is filled with a lot of talented people so working on new music is a constant must.”
