Wadsworth School District has welcomed Tim Campbell to the staff as the new athletic director, starting in the 2024-2025 school year.
Campbell will be taking over Brad Musgrave’s position, which Musgrave previously held for 11 years.
Campbell attended The University of Akron. While there, he received both graduate and undergraduate degrees.
“I had an unconventional path to becoming Athletic Director,” Campbell said. “I spent 19 years as a collegiate strength and conditioning coach at The University of Akron with the last 14 being the director of the department.”
As a Wadsworth resident, Campbell was very interested in taking on the position of the athletic director for Wadsworth School District.
“The administration, community, and student support for athletics is second to none,” Campbell said.
He expressed that he is excited to learn and grow with all of the student-athletes during his time working within Wadsworth School District.
“I’m most excited to get to know all of our student-athletes and get out in the community to tell their stories,” Campbell said.
Campbell is also excited to have the opportunity to work with young athletes and watch them improve. He is looking forward to seeing their passion displayed through their sport.
“[I am most excited for] watching their relentless work come to fruition and seeing them reach their maximum potential,” Campbell said.
