A family business named Bosco’s Pizza Kitchen recently opened in Wadsworth, bringing a different and new perspective to pizza, wings, salad, pasta and much more. The business first opened in Wooster six years ago in 2014 and both locations are both owned by Angelo Yacapraro along with his father Carl Yacapraro Jr.

“Wadsworth was a town that we liked, there was some familiarity and family here,” said Angelo Yacopraro. “When you look at the demographics it was very strong with a lot of young families, and high population density.” 

The Yacopraro family has been in the restaurant business since 1970. 

“At one time my father was heavily involved with East of Chicago and did a lot of franchise development work,” said Angelo Yacapraro.

With Bosco’s opening in April, lots of people have been hired including Wadsworth High School students like Junior Mazie Shaffer. 

“I used to work at Casa Del Rio as a hostess, and working at Bosco’s, I do not get to interact with the other customers as much which gives me more time to connect with my co-workers,” said Shaffer. 

Bosco’s hires people starting at the age of sixteen and teaches them responsibility, how to multitask and good communication.

“I would definitely recommend this job for others whether you are an insider or a delivery driver,” said Shaffer.

According to the owner, the new location has been pretty successful even though they opened during quarantine. The Yacapraro’s think that business will become even better once the global pandemic is all over.
