The annual tradition of inducting new National Honors Society (NHS) members into the ranks took place in the PAC on November 20. The meeting started with all of the new students walking in on one side and the current members on the other. Mr. Berg, last year’s teacher of the year, gave his version of a short speech on how numbers do not define the student. This speech transitioned into the executive board members speaking about the four pillars of NHS: Scholarship, Character, Service and Leadership. To conclude the gathering, each of the current members inducted the new members by giving a short speech to give the audience a sliver of information that qualified them to be a part of the society.
