Football
Despite being on the road and facing a rain delay less than a quarter into the game, the Grizzlies football team defeated Stow 48-21. They return home to host Cuyahoga Falls tomorrow night.
Volleyball
The volleyball team continued to rattle off victories, making it 16 straight after going on the road and beating Beaumont 3-0 and then defeating Stow at home 3-0. That gives the Grizzlies a three game lead over Stow for Suburban League with five games remaining. Currently 16-1 overall and 9-0 in the Suburban League, they go on the road at Cuyahoga Falls tonight and at North Royalton next Tuesday before returning home to host Twinsburg next Thursday.
Boys Soccer
The boys soccer team split their games this week, falling 4-0 at Medina and defeating Twinsburg 2-0 at home to put their record at 6-5 overall and 3-2 in the league. They host Dublin Coffan at home on Saturday.
Girls Soccer
The girls soccer team split a pair of close home games this week, defeating Green 1-0 but falling to Twinsburg 1-0. With a record of (6-2-1) overall and (3-1-1) in the league, they host Hoban on Saturday.
Boys Cross Country
The boys cross country team finished 8th out of 36 teams at the Malone Invitational last weekend, led by an 11th place finish by Benji House, 12. They run in the Medina Cross Country Festival in two weeks on October 6th.
Girls Cross Country
The girls cross country team finished 2nd out of 31 teams at the Malone Invitational last weekend, led by Claire Nicholas’s, 9, first place overall finish and 15th and 17th overall finishes from Rachel Murphy, 9, and Ashley Galek, 10, respectively. They run in the Medina Cross Country Festival in two weeks on Ocotober 6th.
Girls Golf
The girls golf team has the Suburban League Championships tomorrow at Barberton Brookside and go in with a record of (5-5) overall and (3-4) in the league.
Boys Golf
The boys golf team have the Suburban League Championships tonight at Goodpark Golf Course. They are (4-9) overall and (2-5) in the league.
Girls Tennis
The girls tennis team finished 3rd overall at the Suburban League Championships this past weekend. They also lost 4-1 to louisville and are 10-7 overall.
