The Cavs are 12-14 since the all-star break and no team since 1969 has won the NBA title after posting a losing record after the break. The Boston Celtics clinch the number 1 seed in the East after the Cavaliers lost to the Toronto Raptors April 12, 2017. Getting the second seed means they will play seventh rank team the Indiana Pacers.

Many people are scared for the Cavs after receiving the second seed but LeBron has had some pretty good luck as a 2-seed. He has reached the NBA finals all 5 times as a 2 seed.
Entering the postseason on a four game losing streak, the Cavs have won both of there games against Pacers defending the Land. LeBron James and Kyrie Irving all-time leading scorers in Cleveland Cavaliers postseason history. Also, LeBron James is 18-0 when his team takes a 2-0 (including 11-0 with the Cavaliers).
