Hailing from Texas, young singer Jenna Raine has made a name for herself with songs like “See You Later” and “Who Am I”. Both are noted for their introspective lyrics and interesting production, and there is more to her story than just that.
Her newest EP, “Only Started Growing,” has been met with good reviews as listeners noted her deep storytelling and comforting instrumentals as highlights.
“I want to be a light for people. I really want to make an impact on people’s lives in a positive way,” Raine said when asked about her musical goals.
Raine got her start in the music industry by joining a girl group called L2M, or also known as Listening 2 Music. She cites this experience with L2M as a foundation for her current career as a solo artist and songwriter.
“It was so necessary,” Raine said. “If it weren’t for that, I genuinely would not be where I’m at. During L2M I learned how to cut vocals, learned how to perform, learned how to harmonize and how to act.”
These experiences set the foundation for her current career.
Her most recent extended play, or more commonly known as an EP, “Only Started Growing” showcased her skills as an artist and how she has adapted and grown over the years. The lyrics are introspective, bringing a personal touch to each of the songs. A definite highlight of this EP was “Who Am I,” probably one of her most raw, emotional songs in her discography.

The music business is known for being unforgiving. Jenna has found a way to manage her developing music career with a social life, finding a balance between the two.
“Honestly moving to Los Angeles, and meeting people who are also in the industry has made life extremely helpful because they all get it. But it’s very hard to navigate. What’s weird is my days normally look like a songwriting session which starts at 1 pm,” Raine said. “We’ll do game nights or go play volleyball, and it’s fun, but people all get it, and we’re all kind of doing the same thing. So that’s helpful to have people that are in the same world that you’re in.”
She has found a way to navigate the complex music industry but still find ways to be there for her close friends and still have a social life.
Raine is currently working on her first album, which she stated she has already begun the songwriting process.
She is also going on tour this summer, and after that she is planning to begin the production process of her first studio album.
“I haven’t done an album yet, so I’m currently writing that, and that is what’s most important right now, compared to getting out on tour.” Raine said, giving fans a roadmap for her future as a musician.
Overall, Raine has a lot to look forward to in the near future, as her fanbase is ever growing and her tour starts soon.
Her latest project, “Only Started Growing,” set a precedent for how much potential she has as an artist, showcasing her true ability to create cohesive projects, each with their own creative flair. The future is bright for Raine, and there is no sign of her and her team slowing down.
