Wadsworth High School’s after-prom for the 2025 year was hosted by The Foundry, a restaurant and activity-filled building with various games for the seniors to enjoy and participate in. The event occurred on May 10, 2025, directly after prom at the restaurant in Medina, Ohio.
“We got to play skee ball, corn hole, old arcade games, mini bowling, go-karting and they had food and candy stands set up throughout the venue,” said Connor Gaugler, a graduating senior and an attending member of Wadsworth High School’s after-prom. “They also had a prize room where you would get randomly selected to pick something off a designated table.”
Seniors could enjoy food and drinks provided by Wadsworth High School, and they had an opportunity to relax after prom. Many teens even changed out of their dresses and suits to play arcade games and duckpin bowling.
After prom began at 11 at night and extended to 2 in the morning, during that time, the seniors and their dates were able to play games, eat and socialize.
“My favorite part about after prom was how open the venue was and all the activities there were to do,” said Chris Fox, another student in attendance. “It was a really good setting for an after-prom, and the idea that everyone gets a prize was really cool. Overall, it was just a better after-prom than if it were at the middle school.”
In previous years, the after-prom has been hosted at Wadsworth Middle School. In recent years, however, they have provided Kalahari and now The Foundry for seniors to attend after the eventful night.
After a student won a game during their time at The Foundry, they were able to get a prize. These prizes ranged from gift cards to TVs. At the end of the night, random students would be picked to earn money.
“I thought it was a really good time! By the end of it, I was hoping they would extend it for longer because I was having such a good time,” said Gaugler. “I am more than grateful to all the people who helped plan the event, and I think it was a great way to wrap up senior year!”
