Wadsworth High School held its annual prom at The Galaxy on May 10 for students in their senior year, and their dates, to have dinner and to dance with their friends at their final high school dance. The event started at 7 p.m. and went until 10 p.m.
The Galaxy’s banquet room was used for dancing and for the dinner, which was also provided by the restaurant. There were tables assigned to each group, and in the front of the room, there was a dance floor with a live DJ.
Many seniors attend the prom because it is a way to wrap up their last year in high school and to say farewell to all of their friends.
“It’s a great chance, especially as a senior, to see everyone and all my friends together at once before graduation,” said Zane Roush, a senior who attended prom at WHS.
Although seniors have the option to invite underclassmen or students from other schools, the dance mostly consisted of seniors. This allowed many students to say farewell to their fellow classmates and friends.
“I couldn’t have thought of a better way to end my senior year,” said Gabby Bailey, another senior who attended prom at WHS.
