Senior sunrise at Wadsworth High School is a day every year where seniors of the upcoming graduating class come together to celebrate their final year. At the end of the year students come together before sunrise dressed in their college merch that they will be attending come fall of next year if they choose to attend college.
At this event, students could bring breakfast, take photos and spend their last moments at Wadsworth together. Morgan Parsons, a senior who attended Sunrise, loved hanging out with her friends and seeing where everyone will be going for college. She is excited to see what the future holds after graduation.
“I’m already finished with my classes so it feels pretty surreal but good at the same time,” Parsons said.

Parsons will be attending the University of Akron majoring in Early Education and minoring in Special Education. As of now, Parson looks forward to graduation whilst also preparing for college in the long run.
Olivia Swiatkowski, another senior at WHS, who plans on attending Kent State University as a bio major and taking on a minor in Psychology, expressed that she is both excited but sad about graduating.
“I enjoyed taking photos with my friends to make memories and have one final moment of fun at senior sunrise,” Swiatkowski said.
Before heading off to college, Swiatkowski will be going on a trip to Europe and is looking forward to the memories that the trip will bring.
Later in the day, seniors were able to enjoy a party in the senior commons as a final farewell.
