Wadsworth students prepare to see Spider-Man No Way Home in theaters

BY LIAM RUSSELL

Marvel fans have been waiting for Spider-Man No Way Home to release ever since the first trailer was revealed on August 23, 2021. Many people believe that with the opening of the Multiverse (as shown in the trailer) that Tom Holland is not going to be the only Spider-Man in the movie. Although it is not confirmed by Sony, many believe that Toby Maguire (Spider-Man) and Andrew Garfield (The Amazing Spider-Man) will play a major role in the plot of the movie.

“I’ve been waiting for this movie since I saw the trailer,” said Luke Ryder, sophomore at Wadsworth High School. “I have been a huge Spider-Man fan my whole life.”

With this information, many came to the conclusion that the other Spider-Men are going to help Peter defeat these villains. While this is just a theory, there is one very good reason as to why people think this. During the trailer, Tom Holland’s Spider-Man is seen swinging towards the villains. At the bottom of the screen, we can see The Lizard get punched in the face by absolutely nothing. It is believed that the unknown force that punched The Lizard is either Toby Maguire or Andrew Garfield.

“This movie is going to have theatres packed,” said Hank Ries, sophomore. Tickets for Marvel’s Spider-Man No Way Home were released on November 29, 2021, and theatres across the country sold out very quickly. With the film being released on December 17, it is projected to be the biggest selling movie since theatres have opened again due to COVID-19. Fans are more than ready for the movie to air and see if their theories about the film are right or not.

In the trailer, Dr. Strange and Peter attempt to cast a spell to make everyone forget that Peter Parker is Spider-Man. During the process, Peter distracts Dr. Strange causing him to open up the multiverse. Through the remainder of the trailer, Dr. Octavious, from Spider-Man 2, The Green Goblin, from Spider-Man, SandMan, from Spider-Man 3, The Lizard, from The Amazing Spider-Man, and a different version of Electro, from The Amazing Spider-Man 2, all make an appearance.
