The City of Wadsworth has been revamping the city with newer and more signs near parks like Trolley Line Park. Trolley Line Park is one of the first places to get newer signage.
The city administration recognized signs would be helpful to locate and get directions to some places like Wadsworth High School or the YMCA.

Friends of Wadsworth Trails is a group devoted to improving trails in the community. They were hoping to get new signage, not just for Trolley Line Park, but for many other parks as well. This plan has been active for over a year and signs will continue to be made for many more months.
Micki Hendrick is part of Friends of Wadsworth Trails and helped contribute to this update.
“That sign at Trolley Line Park shows the directions of all the other Wadsworth that are in the United States and there is actually one in the United Kingdom,” Hendrick said.
The signs are also being updated due to Wadsworth recently updating its logo.
Updating signs around the whole city and the community as a whole has been a big project Friends of Wadsworth Trails has been working on.
Many signs have already been placed displaying the new logo. Not only have new park signs been added, but entry signs and directional signage as well.
Robin Laubaugh is the Mayor of Wadsworth and has been working on this project along with Friends of Wadsworth Trails.

“We’re doing entrance signage right now, but I will say in the future we will also have more directional type signage,” Laubaugh said. “For example, when you come off of the interstate, a sign will say, you know, this direction to downtown.”
The project will continue until all of Wadsworth is updated. A girl scout in Wadsworth decided to help and update all the signs along the inner urban trail. They begin at Silver Creek Road running all the way to downtown Wadsworth.
“We want to make them larger and more colorful and weatherproof so that they don’t fade over time,” Hendrick said.
Signs inside the park and along the trails will have historical stories explaining what happened at the park.
