Paul Taylor, Media Communications Career Tech Instructor for the Four Cities Compact based out of Wadsworth High School, has resigned from his position and accepted a job with the Cleveland Cavaliers Media Team.
“I received an offer that was kind of like an opportunity of a lifetime,” Taylor said.
Taylor also taught a Broadcast Media course for Wadsworth High students which created weekly televised morning announcements. His last day was December 20.
“The students are definitely the best part of teaching,” Taylor said. “Especially in my compact classes, I see students in their junior and senior year and it’s kind of like, you know, a family atmosphere by the time they graduate.”
Taylor, with his last week upon him, found himself very busy. He informed his students that he was leaving on December 18.
“It’s been really hard this week, kind of saying my initial goodbyes,” Taylor said.
Principal Vincent Suber is hoping to find applicants quickly to start in the new year and has already publicly posted the job opening.
“So it’s sad, because we’re gonna miss him [Paul Taylor], “ Suber said. “The students are gonna miss him, he’s just the greatest.”
Prior to working at Wadsworth High School, Taylor worked for the Cleveland Browns Media team for 15 years.
