Along with the two champions, Wadsworth had at least one placer in every weight class. At 106 we had Hunter Griffin, 9, place eighth. At 113 we had Jimmy Carmany, 9, place third and John Cline place fourth. At 120 we had Matt McMillan, 12, place third and Colt Owens, 11, place seventh. At 126 we had Michael North, 10, place second and Cole McComas, 9, place fifth. At 132 we had Luke Baughman place second. At 138 we had Zain Tittle,10, place fourth. At 145 we had Conner Clark, 12, place fourth. At 152 we had Ryan Orr, 12, place sixth. At 160 we had Surratt place first. At 170 we had Joey Baughman place second and Drew Blankenship, 12, place fourth. At 182 we had Alex Jones,12, place third. At 195 we had Chris Suarze,11, place eighth. At 220 we had McComas place second. At heavyweight we had Earnest place first.
Through a very long day, the Grizzly wrestlers had there hard work paid off with a first place finish at the end of the tournament. The students had to be at the high school at 6 in the morning with weight-ins at 7 o’clock and they did not get out until around 9 o’clock. Coach Gramuglia was very pleased with what he saw from his wrestlers but is excited to keep improving.
